Learning the Basics of Animation in HTML5 (Using TweenMax)

Posted by on Apr 5, 2013 in Web Programming

So lots of hype over the new HTML technology known as HTML5. It’s been talked about for quite some time now.

One of the biggest question has been, “Will it or can it replace Adobe Flash?”

I haven’t programmed in Flash before, but I have wanted to learn everything new with HTML5.

One of my newest projects/goals is to create a math site to make it easier and more fun to learn math – especially for kids. Check it out here: www.LearnMathSkills.com

Basically my ideas around LearnMathSkills.com involve really easy and basic animations. I figured this would be the perfect time to learn what HTML5 had to offer.

Instantly I found a great HTML5 Animation video tutorial for beginners and have been happily following along with no problems.

He even includes all of the files with the basic code layout, then walks you through adding the last important details which really helps the idea stick. I might have to remember this technique for LearnMathSkills.com…
